We are on the hunt for an Accountant, reporting to the Junior Financial Manager.

What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities include:

• Month end processing
• Preparing/reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparing month end calculations of accruals, provisions, prepayments
• Managing merchant related balances - Processing on accounting system (where necessary) - Reconciling to the core operating systems - Merchant bank statement reconciliations
• Managing merchant queries (finance specific)
• Debtors management, analysis and reporting
• Owning the full debtors process (Including, but not limited to, the processing of customer invoices and debit order imports)
• Processing and reconciliation of bank accounts
• Constantly looking for ways to improve the finance function, involvement in automation projects and evaluating ERP system processes.
• Other as hoc reports and finance-related duties.

What you'll need

• BComm Accounting or equivalent
• 5 years work experience in similar role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Excellent time management skills and able to work well under pressure with tight deadlines
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Experience using an ERP system (Oracle Fusion/NetSuite advantageous)
• Advanced Excel Skills
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Possesses good analytical and problem-solving skills
