Your Next Career Move Starts Here! Join CIRO at our Head Office in Bryanston, Johannesburg as a Brand Manager (B2B) and take ownership of a portfolio of premium brands, including Blacksmith, Lavazza, House of Coffees, Five Roses, Hug in a Mug, and Freshpak.

Reporting Structure:
  • Reports to: General Manager and Marketing Manager
  • Direct Reports: 1
Key Areas of Impact:
Brand Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term brand strategies aligned with business objectives, market dynamics, and company resources.
  • Oversee brand management across multiple product lines, ensuring consistency and market relevance.
  • Leverage market insights, industry trends, and competitor analysis to adapt strategies and maximise business opportunities.
  • Drive category and channel strategies to strengthen brand positioning in the out-of-home, hospitality, and food service industries.
  • Manage and implement high-impact promotional campaigns and activations to drive brand growth.
  • Develop compelling customer propositions for bespoke B2B partnerships.
  • Lead new product development (NPD) from concept to commercial launch, ensuring strong market fit.
  • Own the marketing budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and ROI-driven decision-making.
Trade & Customer Engagement
  • Conduct competitor monitoring, including trade visits and market analysis.
  • Engage with sales teams, regional teams, and key customers to align brand strategies with business needs.
  • Plan and execute B2B trade shows, industry events, and corporate activations to increase brand visibility and engagement.
  • Collaborate with advertising agencies, packaging suppliers, and promotional partners to ensure seamless execution of campaigns.
  • Support value-added services to enhance customer experience and brand loyalty.
Digital Marketing & E-Commerce
  • Lead digital marketing and e-commerce initiatives for CIROs B2B and DTC (direct-to-consumer) platforms.
  • Drive growth through strategic digital campaigns, content marketing, and data-driven e-commerce solutions.
  • Manage website updates and optimise the corporate and e-commerce platforms for enhanced performance.
  • Implement targeted promotional campaigns across digital and e-commerce channels to boost brand reach.
  • Leverage web analytics and market trends to refine digital strategies and enhance user engagement.
  • Work cross-functionally with IT, digital marketing agencies, and web development teams to ensure seamless execution of online initiatives.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing marketing team to execute brand strategies effectively.
  • Set and monitor individual and team performance goals, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration and lead interdepartmental initiatives to drive business growth.
What It Takes to Succeed:
Experience that set you up for success:
  • At least 3 years brand and marketing experience
  • Experience in a in B2B marketing in either the coffee industry, within hospitality, food services or out-of-home.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing, e-commerce, and trade marketing.
  • Experience in managing a team and cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications & Certifications that will contribute to your success:
  • Degree in Marketing, Business Management, or a related field.
Additional Requirements that will enhance your impact for success:
  • Previous experience in SAP, Magento, WordPress, and analytics tools is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and budgets.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
