Mission
The BDM will be responsible to achieve the assigned target of Order Intake by promoting the services of Rina Energy Business Unit to customers based in Sub-Saharan Africa. In order to achieve such target, the BDM will approach new customers, propose cross-selling to existing customers and will nurture a network of customers, partners and stakeholders in the area
Job Responsibilities
Drive and monitor the order intake pipeline;
Updating the pipeline with new prospects to be followed up;
Lead and providing support on major contracts, tenders and quotations;
Lead and support contract closing activities and capture lessons learned;
Work across the RINA Group developing cross selling and mutual opportunities;
Track competitor activity and providing updates on competitor news and intelligence;
Be responsible for sales and business development initiatives: focused on new sales and business opportunities, client visits and management;
Explore opportunities for alliances and partnerships to explore new markets and opportunities;
Work with the management team to identify potential acquisition opportunities;
Engage with current and potential customers to discuss and understand their needs and requirements;
Lead and providing support on major contracts, tenders and quotations;
Supporting our focus on customer satisfaction, repeat business and developing new markets;
Stay current with RINAs current and future offerings and technology solutions, including but not limited to customer tailored tools.
Requirements
Up to 10 years of experience of large projects and consultancy engineering services, at least 5 of them in Commercial, Business Development or Business Management role
A strong network as a basis for generating new business.
Masters Degree or the equivalent, (preferably in an Engineering field or related discipline), or proven track record of experience and success.
