We are looking for a Business Development Manager to expand our presence across the Sub-Saharan region in Africa. You will be responsible for maintaining relationships with our existing client base and growing our portfolio of clients across the region.
What You Do:
- Responsible for our clients across the Sub-Saharan Africa territory; meet regional sales targets based on business plans and objectives
- Create a sales pipeline and actively sell FUGA's products and services in the market
- Maintain client relationships and work cross-functionally with internal teams, such as marketing and operations, to ensure our clients are receiving best-in-class service
- Manage client escalations as needed
- Responsible for client retention and for maximising existing clients' revenue, including upsells and carrying out client business reviews
- Perform demos of our products and services to existing clients as well as to prospective clients
- Draft and manage complex commercial proposals, and manage contract negotiations with clients and prospects
- Analyse monthly sales reports, identifying trends, issues and opportunities
- Cross-sell Downtown Services (such as publishing and neighbouring rights)
- Contribute to team meetings
- Contribute to the development of FUGA's product and service offerings through reporting requirements and requests back to internal teams
- Represent and champion FUGA in the region, including within personal network as well as at local conferences and events
- Extensive experience in (digital) music distribution
- Excellent knowledge of the music markets and opportunities in Sub-Saharan Africa
- Extensive network of contacts in the region to represent FUGA and generate leads
- Naturally inspired by growing and maintaining client relationships
