Aten Business Development Manager

Researching and identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services. Candidate will be responsible for achieving the Revenue & GP targets set out for the brand.

Client Support and Development
  • Maintain and develop existing customer relationships.
  • Identify and drive new opportunities for Aten products with New customers, candidate will work closely with sales teams internally and vendor to identify new business potential.
  • Identify and drive new opportunities for Aten products in Existing Rectron customers.
  • Follow up / Close leads generated on CRM.
  • Maintain and build trusted, long-term business relationships with clients.
  • Engage closely with customers and ensure their expectations are met according to their requirements including breakdown of quotes and projects given.
  • Ensure the clients needs are met, with a clear understanding and the relevant technical knowledge to match Aten products.
  • Maintain & grow key vendor relationships.
  • Effectively plan and use vendor provided funds to engage in demand generation activities with customers and internal sales.
  • Assisting all customers and sales team with queries, quotes and orders.
Product and Promotions
  • Have a clear understanding of product offerings, landscape and roadmaps.
  • Proactively update and advise clients on new and upcoming Aten products including, but not limited to digital, electronic, media, face to face and events platforms
Key Business Measures
  • Must meet regular sales targets.
  • Demand and customer development activities, face to face customer engagements key.
  • Understand and drive vendor targets and measures, this may include measures such as Sell in targets, sell out targets, customer breadth, certification and customer onboarding. These will be understood and agreed on a quarterly basis.
  • Meet Agreed internal response SLAs.
  • New transacting accounts
Education/Qualification
  • Minimum: Matric Qualification, with a degree or diploma as an advantage

  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to deliver consistent, accurate and timeous work.
  • Technical and solution orientated thinking.
  • Strong customer relationships.

  • Well-disciplined & well-presented individual.
Experience (experience Required For The Job)
  • Minimum 3 years Sales related experience in the IT environment
Accountabilities
  • Responsible for achieving Revenue, GP and Customer Breadth targets.
  • Achieve exceptional ratings in client services.
  • Complete all allocated product training.
