Role Purpose

Manage and drive the identification and development of new business initiatives and support the delivery of an excellent client experience in order to achieve business objectives.

Requirements
  • Relevant business or related degree
  • 5-8 years experience in sales, business development or relationship management within a financial services environment
  • 1-2 years management experience
  • Proficiency in speaking Afrikaans
  • Relevant Product Knowledge
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) (Desirable)
Duties & Responsibilities

INTERNAL PROCESS
  • Develop and implement approaches to identify and develop new business opportunities in existing and under penetrated markets.
  • Contribute to the development and packaging of financial services solutions and ensure that operational considerations and client financial wellness needs are incorporated into the development process.
  • Keep abreast of trends, legislation and best practices within the financial services industry to optimise and align service offering.
  • Develop and implement plans to increase and optimise the utilisation of products in sales and advice.
  • Drive the implementation of the strategy to maximise revenue through alignment of inhouse products and solutions.
  • Implement and operationalise tactical plans in collaboration with executive management and other relevant business stakeholders enable service delivery and achieve business objectives.
  • Partner with business areas and product houses to share knowledge, insights and address any gaps or challenges.
  • Facilitate initiatives aimed at equipping the sales force in business to identify and meet clients' need and improve client engagement.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with business partners, stakeholders and business areas in order to understand business priorities and requirements.
  • Gather competitive intelligence and new product ideas from the business environment and share market insights with management team.
  • Drive the application of good governance principles and legislative compliance within the area.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement or potential challenges and implement mitigating tactics.
  • Based on client need framework customise solutions for clients across licences within the CVP framework.
CLIENT
  • Provide authoritative, expertise and guidance to stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deliver on service level agreements made with internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure that client expectations are managed.
  • Make recommendations to improve client service and fair treatment of clients within area of responsibility.
  • Participate and contribute to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service.
PEOPLE
  • Develop and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships with peers and stakeholders.
  • Positively influence and participate in change initiatives.
  • Continuously develop own expertise in terms of professional, industry and legislation knowledge.
  • Contribute to continuous innovation through the development, sharing and implementation of new ideas.

FINANCE
  • Control the budget for area, including the authorisation of expenditures and implementation of financial regulations.
  • Manage high risk and problematic financial issues in area of accountability and contribute to the development of policy.
  • Identify solutions to enhance cost effectiveness and increase operational efficiency.
  • Implement and manage financial risk methodologies, techniques and systems and use to monitor and report on financial activities.
  • Investigate reported wilful acts of noncompliance to organisation policy and practice and report on findings
