A well-established client seeks a Buyer with 2-3 years of experience. Must have experience with sourcing technical products for the construction, building, Engineering / Oil and Gas industry. 12-month fixed term contract.

Position type: 12-month Fix term contract only

Salary: Market-Related

Minimum Requirements

Matric

Procurement qualification will be an advantage

Proficient in Microsoft Office

SAP or similar

Experience technical products

Engineering / Oil and Gas industry

Key Duties

General Procurement:

Compile and issue requests for quotations and tenders to suppliers and service providers.

Adjudicating and evaluating the quotations based on price, deliverables, quality and payment structures and negotiating with the selected suppliers and/or service providers.

Produce and administrate purchase orders.

Other relevant procurement-related tasks as and when requested by the department head.

Project Procurement

Assist with the preparation, optimisation and organisation of all procurement activities on a customer project/order.

Assist with identification and sourcing of project-related suppliers and service providers.

Assist with contract and/or purchasing negotiations and risk evaluations.

Prepare commercial bid evaluations to record award decisions on purchasing activities.
