- Must have a minimum qualification of a BEng (Civil) or B-Tech / BSc degree within the Built Environment
- Must have have minimum 5 years as a Project Manager, at least three years should be on concrete water retaining structures
- The candidate must have good experience as a Project Manager working on Construction projects, specifically relating to:
- Bulk Earthworks;
- Concrete Work (Water retaining structures)
- Must be Professional Registetred with ECSA
- Successful candidate must be willing to commute or take up residence in Ekurhuleni, Gauteng. Own transport is an advantage.
- Management of the Construction Works (through engagement with the Site Agent, Foreman and Client's Representative) to include the following:
- Understand, comply with specifications and deliver the scope of works
- Management of materials on site
- Management of plant and equipment on site
- Management of labour on site (including labour issues/disputes)
- Management of the Construction Program of Works, on a day to day basis to achieve the required daily deliverables
- Monitoring and management of site diary, site instructions, etc
- Achieving Key Milestones according to the Construction Program
- Coordinate the procurement process with the Procurement Manager and Site Agent to include the following:
- Creation and management of a Procurement Schedule
- Liaising with Procurement Manager, Site Agent, Client's Representative and Suppliers regarding ordering, purchasing, delivering and storage of all materials
- Management of the Contract (GCC); engage with the Client's Representative
- Prepare monthly Progress Reports to be submitted and presented as required by Client's Representative.
- Prepare Payment Certificates for Claiming on a monthly basis (prescribed dates)
- Attending (and reporting back on) Monthly Technical and Progress meetings on site
- Communication and managing all correspondence with all stakeholder of the project.
- Submitting weekly internal progress reports to Project Directors
- Managing and keeping to the Construction Program
- Achieving Key Milestones and deliverables according to Construction Program
- Delivering on quantities and work done to achieve amounts anticipated /submitted on monthly Payment Certificates
- Identifying and Claiming on Variation Orders outside the scope of work of the Contract
