Clinical Sales Consultant (Theatre Nurse)

As the leading medical recruitment agency in South Africa, our client has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Sales Consultant (Theatre Nurse) based in Pretoria & Johannesburg, South Africa. The Clinical Sales Consultant (Theatre Nurse) is responsible for establishing sales objectives and devising sales activities that support these objectives across all relevant business units in the company. To drive sales activities by developing and maintaining demand for the range of products and services to designated accounts, in accordance with agreed business plans.

Responsibilities
  • Sales and marketing
  • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers to drive new business development, on products.
  • Analyze markets in order to identify new sales and business opportunities.
  • Complete minimum of 5 Client Calls per day
  • Report on competitor behavior, threats and opportunities for the business.
  • Implement sales strategies
  • Plan, organize and manage all sales activities
  • Implement sales objectives and goals
  • Assist and support sales colleagues as well as production team whilst performing daily sales activities
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars, congresses and appropriate medical societies
  • Product Knowledge
  • Provide customers with product and service information relating to Single-Use drapes and gowns, Consumables, Procedure Packs, Customized Operation Packs and Re-Usable Solution.
  • Training
  • Training of both staff and clients on the products
  • Support and coordinate product training programs for designated products as required
  • Provide clinical advice to the infield sales consultants
  • Sales Reporting
  • Complete Repwise Weekly sales activity planning
  • Complete Repwise Sales Call Report after every call.
  • Supply management with reports on customers needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and potential for new products and services
  • Track sales data pertaining to area and manage inconsistencies.
  • Assistance with data gathering during costs studies
  • Gather, collate and populate data to present findings to the Re-Usable Product Manager
  • Assist when required, with onsite presentation of Cost Study to Hospital Management/Client
  • Assistance with Re-Usable implementation, and COP & PP pack building
  • New reusable drapes and gowns
  • Plan hospital roll-out with Re-Usable Product Manager to arrange assistance from sales consultants.
  • Give training to theatre staff to be able to assess our drape pack contents and to identify any changes they will require.
  • Assess a new client conversion during the first 3 months to determine that correct pack usage are being adhered to.
  • Regular review of client order-sheet levels and feedback to Product Manager on aging packs.
  • Customized operating packs
  • Assist Product manager with a statistical analysis of all operations performed at a hospital
  • Determine top 20 cases and assess stock items requirement from different surgeons for these cases.
  • Assist Product Manager in building COP packs so that no item will be wasted within the pack.
  • Get sign off on all packs from clients prior to production commencement.
  • Train theatre complex staff, including stock controllers/billing departments, to incorporate COP packs with ease.
  • Assist in determining correct stock level for client to carry.
  • Train internal production staff to pack packs correctly and to identify any defects on any single item contained within the pack.
  • Monitor pack efficiency at client and assist with required component changes/complaints received from client
Requirements:
  • Qualified registered nurse with valid SANC registration
  • Post basic qualification in operating room will be advantageous
  • Min years of experience: 5 - 7 years as a theatre scrub nurse
  • 3 Years sales experience will be advantageous
  • Own vehicle and valid driver's license
  • Residing in Jhb/Pretoria
Working hours: Monday to Friday - 08.00 - 17.00

Salary is market related
