Responsibilities
Review, develop, initiate, maintain and revise policies and procedures for the general operation of FFS environment and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.
Responds to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Standards of Conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures.
Acts as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that compliance issues/ concerns within the organization are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved.
Provides reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep the Senior Management, IMG ICO and Corporate Committees informed of the operation and progress of compliance and internal control efforts.
Periodically review and revise procedures with line management in light of changes in organisational needs or regulatory requirements. Direct focus on compliance and standardization of global procedures (where applicable).
Provide technical input and recommendations regarding changes to policies, systems, processes, procedures and methodologies.
Plan, review and provide guidance to Operations on Self-Assessment Tool (MCRP) to mitigate risks in line with Corporate Financial Controls.
Develop audit investigations in accordance with Risk Assessment/Identification and report out on observations and delinquencies (Independently investigating and acting on matters related to compliance).
Implement and execute departmental and regional initiated specific investigations.
Monitor and evaluate effectiveness and sustainability of corrective action plans proposed and implemented related to comments/issues identified by GAO (Global Auditor Office); operationally identified comments (OIC); PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers) and Audit Engagements through GRC (corrective Action Website) Management.
Plan and follow up/obtain evidences for OIC's / GAO comments and conclude on effectiveness in order to close issues.
Ensure alignment of procedures to Finance Manual (FM).
Support all external audits (GAO, PwC, etc.),
Support maintenance and registration of regulatory body requirements (NCR, FSCA).
Maintain Basic Control File,
Maintain Business Continuity Plan,
Build relationships with FCE ICO and FFS management to understand issues, manage expectations and identify control improvements.
Perform or assist with special studies of operating processes and systems as requested.
Lead the monthly IC meetings with FFS management
Support JV Risk and Compliance Meeting input required
Provide training and assistance in risk/compliance matters
Cascade control issues, trend data, new policies, updated approval authorities throughout the organization.
Ensure new products introduced are in line with global procedures.
Facilitate preparation of Application Control Review ACR with business owners and IT to ensure all control issues identified in the ACR, finalise meeting minutes and close the ACR
Work with Fords ICO office to ensure intercompany transactions meet compliance requirements.
Qualifications
Qualification: Commercial Degree/Diploma,
3-5 years' experience
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) will be advantageous
Experience: Supervisory skills (ideally through progression from clerkship), Practical Investigative Financial, Policy and Procedural application
