In this role, you will deliver continuous improvement training and activities throughout the plant while serving as the subject matter of Continuous improvement. You will grow a culture of Continuous improvement and its activities with the focused factory. You will facilitate projects aimed at generating cost reductions, and process performance improvements. What is more, you will provide efficient leadership and cost-effective integration of continuous improvement methodologies and tools creating operational excellence
Your duties:
- Initiates and supports continuous improvement projects, cost reductions, and process performance improvements,
- Maintains CI implementation schedules for assigned projects, progress updates as required,
- Provides documentation that demonstrates the direct link between the process
- Implementation and plant operations improvement,
- Lead lean training,
- Provides CI training and coaching at all levels of the plant,
- Participates in and leads teams aimed at the resolution of quality issues and concerns,
- Supports production control, material control, and material planning departments in
- improvements projects relating to scheduling, inventory management, and raw material flow and tracking,
- Supports prototype and pilot runs to address design and process feasibility concerns,
- Interfaces with plant engineering on projects addressing staffing, manpower, time and capacity analysis,
- Generates, provides, and participates in department-specific training needs,
- Calculates cost reductions and determines the optimal problem-solving method,
- Teams with plant controller the document savings and profit results of continuous improvement activities,
- Supports the trackings all CI Projects and reporting progress to plant staff,
- Leads time studies to develop production standards for products,
- Update and Improve plant layout,
- Assist Team Leaders and Superintendents with Standardized Work Audits.
- National Diploma Industrial Engineering or B Tech Industrial engineering with a minimum of 2-5 years experience within a similar position in the Automotive industry,
- Experience inIndustrial engineering or process engineering,
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and 5S,
- Good knowledge of MS Office, CAD or AutoCAD,
- Sig Sigma will be an advantage,

- Understanding of business processes, practices, concepts, and product knowledge,
