Analyst: Controlling

• Preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly results to BMW AG and SF3-ZA EXCO as far as IT, Capex, OpEx and Headcount are concerned.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts, variance analysis and commentary with regards to actual and forecasts as far as IT, Capex, OpEx and Headcount are concerned.
• Support (Controlling Specialist) in the review of RV and credit risk parameters together with the risk department.
• Clarification, Review and analysis and steering of budget and forecasted IT, Capex, OpEx and Headcount results and abnormalities with business line managers.
• Co-ordination and preparation of forecast and budgets for SF3-ZA and responsible for submission to BMW AG. Includes planning of IT, Capex, OpEx, Headcount & direct costs, etc.
• Control and reporting of the OPEX budget, including cost per contract, for assigned cost centres within SF3-ZA. Control and reporting of SF3-ZA headcount in conjunction with Human Resources.
• Cost and OpEx allocation and alignment with Accounting (SF3-ZA-F) and business line managers.
• Control and reporting of SF3-ZA IT spent in conjunction with FG departments.
• Serve as the Buyer for the SF3-ZA-F and SF3-ZA-R divisions.
• Steer intercompany charges to ensure an efficient balance between costs and services.
• Forecast, control and steer the Homeloan portfolio within BMW Financial Services SA (SF3-ZA).
• Maintenance of General ledger Structure as far as IT, Capex, OpEx and Headcount are concerned.
• Manage and maintain financial models for the business lines to assist in profit steering e.g. ROE calculator, DIC, Risk Costs and interest income margins or rates.
• Responsible for data upload and submissions to AG as assigned. Required to keep up to date on latest submission requirements.
• Responsible for SARB data, Stats SA and NC Regulator data submissions.
• FPM further development and implementation of financial performance management concept in line with BMW Group requirements (preparation of internal and external reports and ongoing improvement of profitability information).
• Monthly total asset reporting to assist with matched funding models.
• FEP (financial exposure planning) preparation and submission to BMW AG.
• Internal Control systems (ICS) - adherence to controls; focus on regular monitoring of controls and on testing of controls effectiveness (e.g. performing monthly spot-checks and/or reviewing exception reports); conduct annual process & control review (incl. review/update of process maps / flows and relevant regulations / work instructions); active contribution to detect and mitigate process gaps.
• Prepare and/or assist with business cases within SF3-ZA or external if required
• Drive automation / efficiencies / process optimization across all processes.
• Any other task that management may necessitate in reaction to unexpected changes to our environment, greater business needs or to mitigate the vulnerability of the BMW Groups reputation or potential financial loss.
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Management Accounting/ Statistics; Honours Degree Advantageous
• 4-5 Years experience within the financial services industry preferable.
• Knowledge of SAP; MS Office
