You will be responsible for the leadership and commercial development of the Supply Chain service and contributing to the wider success of the Customer Operations team. This role will deliver an efficient and effective service, enabling the team to achieve company and client-driven measures and outcomes. While ensuring the service is financially viable, growing and always meeting the contractual and legislative requirements.
Education
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Tertiary Qualification in Logistics/ Road Transport Management
- 7 years in a senior supervisory or middle management position.
- 10 Years or more experience in Logistics
- FMCG / Retail sector experience essential
- Transport/Logistics experience
- Knowledge of the NBCRFI Agreement
- Relevant Road Traffic Legislation
- Advanced Microsoft Office Excel, Word
- Proven record of an adaptable management style with good healthy employee relations
- Ability to analyse situations

Manage the total operation of warehousing, distribution and admin for the distribution centre
- Management of picking, checking, and warehousing efficiencies
- Management of inventory
- Management of Loss control, shrinkage, and damages
- Management of Pallets
- Labour management
- Implement HOD KPIs and monthly reviews
- Ensure all KPIs are aligned with the Distribution Centres strategic indicators
- Introduce Key Performance areas in the warehouse and daily KPIs measured and updated
- Maintain Health & Safety standards
- Ensure routing and distribution efficiencies are managed to the highest level
- Asset control and management - vehicles, IT and racking.
- Investigate Loss Control and implement improvement strategies and controls
