- Accounting:
- Ensuring financial accounting system (Sage 300 / AccPac) is kept up to date at all times.
- Outstanding receipts are followed up on.
- Treasury function of the company, ensuring any available funds are utilised efficiently within the structure of the company.
- All financial controls necessary are in place and operating effectively.
- Monthly and annual journal entries.
- Ensuring all management accounts are prepared on a monthly basis and distributed by the 20th of each month
- All balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly
- All creditors are reconciled monthly
- All payments to suppliers are made before the relevant due dates and in line with company policy
- All payments conform to the company policy approval process
- The fixed asset register is maintained accurately and updated monthly
- Income tax provisional and final returns are submitted before the SARS deadlines
- All statutory and tax deadlines are met for returns and payments
- Financial and Tax audit compliance, including IFRS compliance and the preparation of schedules and information required by the auditors
- Generating, implementing and reviewing systems of internal control, to ensure integrity of financial information
- Payroll:
- Monthly all divisions provide their relevant information by the deadline in order to accurately process payroll.
- All payroll information is captured accurately in VIP.
- All payroll reports are pulled from VIP, referenced and filed.
- Payroll can be reviewed and released by the 19th / 20th of each month.
- All leave balances are reconciled monthly.
- EMP201 returns are submitted monthly, and EMP501 returns are submitted bi-annually.
- UIF submissions are made timeously.
- COIDA submissions are made timeously and followed up on.
- All salary liability payments are made accurately and on time.
- Reports are sent to various divisions for salary recoveries
