Financial Accountant Role Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Monthly Management Accounts: Prepare and consolidate monthly management accounts for 12 entities.
• Variance Analysis: Review monthly income statements, identify significant variances, and understand major deviations from budget or prior year spending.
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations, including intercompany accounts.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Supplier Invoice Management: Ensure timely recording and payment of supplier invoices according to the established payment process.
• Invoice Generation: Create and manage invoices.
• Expense Report Review: Ensure accuracy and timely approval of Expensify reports.
• Employee Reimbursements: Process and pay employee reimbursements promptly.
• Audit Support: Assist with audit requests and the preparation of financial statements.
• Ad-Hoc Requests: Provide support for various ad-hoc financial tasks as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Education: BCom Accounting degree (mandatory).
• Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years in a similar role.
• Skills:Proficiency in Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
