Purpose Of The Job
Our client is a wholly owned subsidiary of a leading South African Automotive group,
that has grown successfully across East Africa over the years with the opening of passenger vehicle brand dealerships across countries in this region.
They have now expanded their offerings to include Tyre Centres as well as Motorcycle dealerships.
The vacancy they currently have is for a Franchise Manager to oversee and head the complete and successful running of these Motorcycle dealerships,
whilst at the same time increase their footprint within other African regions.
The position will be based in Gauteng and travel across boarder will be required from time to time. Duties:
- Manage, advise, and control the Cross-border Franchise Network strategy to achieve key business objectives in line with operational standards
- Implementation, and continuous improvements of franchise agreements
- Business consultation, brand management, customer service, operations, finance, human resources, sales, IT and marketing
- Strategically and operationally, manage resources and performance - HR resourcing, policies, KPI measures, and reporting requirements
- Financial performance related to profitability, targets, and budgets (sales, margins, operating costs, capex, and working capital)
- including internal controls, sales, and operational activities
- Drive customer experience to enhance value propositions
- Ensure legislative adherence to all statutory requirements
- Franchise Agreements
- Ensure the adherence and implementation of the Franchise Network Strategy,
- while maintaining brand identity and ensuring full compliance to the brand standard while growing the Business
- Maintain strong relationships with Franchisees in order to ensure that obligations are fulfilled
- Ensuring financial success and viability of Franchisees by analyzing financial statements and addressing concerns related to profitability,
- targets and budgets as per the Franchise agreement
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration between relevant stakeholders by building a strong relationship with the franchisees and acting as a liaison in the resolution of matters
- Successfully implement changes within the Franchise environment by improving and managing the change processes, and communicating as well as training as may be necessary
- Increase sales by identifying new clients / tenders / contracts & projects
- Grow existing client sales-volumes via regular relationship management
- Network with industry associations, retailers
- Develop, pitch, and sell innovative new offerings, based on market-needs
- Keep in close contact with decision makers and purchasing departments at existing clients and at prospective clients about upcoming opportunities
- Developing a business development strategy focused on financial gain
- Arranging business development meetings with prospective clients
- Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
- Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
- Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
- Promote the companys products addressing or predicting clients objectives
- Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
- Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
- Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
- Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople
- Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management
- Proven track record in implementing best practices and continuous improvement methodologies
- MS Office with advanced Excel
- 5 to 10 years Senior Management within the automotive industry
- Minimum of 5 years franchise experience in the automotive industry as well as Business Development Manager knowledge and experience
- Motorcycle experience a major advantage
- Proficiency in English
- Market knowledge
- Communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to build rapport
- Time management and planning skills
- Must be willing to travel cross border
