Job Description
To develop and manage, events and sponsor relations for Miway to ensure all needs are attended to and strategically drive business strong relationship in the market. To explore opportunities to expand the sponsorship and events property and agreements. To develop and execute an events and sponsorship strategy and ensure all relationships are fully leveraged to ensure maximum brand exposure for MiWay.
The Incumbent Will
- Manage all current sponsorship activity Pre-event publicity campaign, hospitality programmes, branding requirements, use of sponsors' products, media management, Promotional activity etc.
- Plan, create and oversee implementation of engaging content for the external communications channels and regularly evaluate the efficiency of the channels used, making continuous improvements
- Assisting with the management of sponsorships and events supporting areas such as event branding, activations and hospitality, media relations and all consumer interaction points
- Taking responsibility for the measurement and recording of all of aspects of the sponsorship that have been identified as Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) against which the performance of the sponsorship will be assessed
- Collating and analysing resultant media coverage
- To accomplish this, the individual must thoroughly understand the MiWay strategic business ambition and be able to prepare communication materials for a variety of external and internal audiences.
- Manage third-party suppliers, including agencies, designers, and associated budgets to ensure strategic and cost-effective use of services
- Undertaking research for new business proposals and contributing material for presentations to potential new sponsors and/or ambassadors
Qualifications & Skills
- Marketing / Communication / PR / Journalism degree or equivalent
- Proven track record (8 - 10 years of experience) of events and sponsorship or marketing activities.
- Digital media experience
- Proven experience in managing and coordinating projects across functions
- Ability to be hands-on as well as strategic.
- A team player who can lead by example with high accountability.
- Creative and imaginative with a sharp eye for detail, including top notch writing skills with flawless grammar, spelling and punctuation.
- Superior collaboration and interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels of management
- Strong negotiation skills
