Main Duties / Responsibilities
Designing and preparing drawings including cross checking for manufacturing equipment.
Processing all relevant paperwork such as bill of materials, purchase requisitions, prints for manufacturing purposes, report writing etc.
Carry out all necessary filing associated with day-to-day work.
All drawings to be prepared using AutoCAD
Design gearing and components based on Colgate-Palmolive standards and programs as well as international standards.
Work as an effective team member of the engineering team, but also work independently to achieve pre-set goals and objectives.
Due to the nature of the business, all information must be supplied in an accurate manner.
Support in Analyzing all workstations performance on a daily basis, in order to display and update plant performance and maintenance KPIs ( Indicators )
Control, Monitor and Manage Spare Parts / Equipments Cycle Inventory ( Including Tags )
Maintain the right database in SAP EMA. KPIs, Training, SOPs, etc
Active participation/development of: Root Cause Analysis, FAP, CAPA, SOPs, Training, etc
END RESULTS / OUTPUTS OF THE WORK
Ensure all equipment is maintained in good working condition
Ensure the compliance to Trade Metrology and SABS regulations related to weighing and measuring equipment
Ensure GMP compliance with respect to temperature, humidity, pressure, and weight measurement equipment maintenance
Ensure compliance to all EHS regulations and Colgate-Palmolive safety standards
Support in ensuring full-time Maintenance Resources to the Production Team
Support Reduction of Equipment Downtime as per Company Targets - Continuous Improvement
Support as a Key Pillar for Plant Performance according to Company Standards
Support the implementation In Place of the Colgate Standards related to Maintenance and its interaction with AM, PM, CI, Master Plan, Program In Place and its tracking and compliance
Cross Functional Collaboration and Teamwork with key stakeholders (Planning, Packaging, Engineering, Indirect Procurement, Quality and Operations)
LEVEL OF EDUCATION
B.Sc. (Electrical / Mechanical) + 1 years experience preferably in High Volume Environment
S4 Eng. (Electrical / Instrumentation / Automation / Mechanical) + 2 years experience preferably in High Volume Environment
Essential Skills/Attributes
Excellent analytical and math skills
Good report writing and presentations skills
Ability to persuade others to change existing practices
Strong attention to detail
Proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems
Familiarity with applicable health and safety regulations
Computer literacy relating to proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel), SAP
