Were looking for an HR Business Partner to join our dedicated People team.

What your role looks like

As HR Business Partner within our People Team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our people decisions and practices are aligned to our values, policies and procedures across the division. You will also play a pivotal role in driving employee engagement and HR strategies across the division that ensure a positive employee experience and talent development. Your experience in people-centric environments will be valuable as you expand the ability of our brand to be loved by both customer and employee alike.

Who you are
You have 5-8 years experience as an HR Business Partner or related role, partnering at a management level, and are comfortable within environments that are marked by rapid growth and expansion. You are astute in labour law, employee policies and procedures, and have a proven track record of being a trusted guide, supporter and advisor to management and employees in driving employee relations. You are both strong and empathetic and able to respond to change effectively while holding accountability for process and structure where needed. You have built your career in industries and experiences that are marked by rapid growth and change, and have thrived in these environments.

What you will be responsible for
  • Partner with management and employees on employee relation matters, performance concerns, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Manage and facilitate CCMA cases, ensuring compliance with labour laws and company policies.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures where necessary.
  • Monitor HR practices to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
  • Facilitate the preparation of new hire contract packs and partner with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
  • Drive and support Employment Equity plans, initiatives and reporting as well as COIDA and SDA reporting and submissions.
  • Support employee engagement strategies and initiatives that drive a positive employee experience.
What experience and skills you need for the role
We would like you to have had rich and varied experiences including:
  • Career experiences that demonstrate your strategic business understanding and procedural knowledge of employee relations, policies and compliance
  • Ability to build relationships and partner with management to successfully drive employee engagement, policies and processes across the division.
  • Thorough understanding of Labour Legislation and HR Operations
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Empirical knowledge of employee life-cycle strategies
The suitable candidate should have supplemented life experience with a
  • Degree in Human Resource Management/Industrial Psychology or other relevant degrees
  • Postgraduate, business-related degree would be advantageous

Environment:

Pay and Benefits:
  • We pay competitive, market-related salaries based on skills and experience, and profit share based on the company's performance
