You are a strategic business partner to an executive leadership team, expertly co-leading the execution of the people agenda to enable business performance, innovation and growth and ultimately ignite our people. You translate business strategy into localised people priorities, based on the Group people strategic pillars of TALENT, LEADERSHIP, GREAT PLACE TO WORK. You partner with the business (functions, categories, markets) regarding the implementation of programmes and initiatives and act as integrator along the whole HR value chain (incl. talent, organisation, capabilities, and culture, diversity, equity and inclusion and rewards).
Responsibilities
- In line with Tiger Brands overall people strategy and the business units strategy, identify and drive business unit / function-specific people priorities, utilising sources of data such as P&L, budget, and other internal reporting including consumer and customer information
- Identify and translate current and future business needs into people requirements and solutions
- Analyse people data and trends and provide people-related insights to business unit / function leadership
- Coach business unit / function leadership on management of human capital, leadership, and team performance and effectiveness
- Monitor organisational performance and identify and influence key people-related drivers to improve business unit / function performance
- Drive change in the area of responsibility and coach business leaders to lead change using the Tiger Brands change methodology
- Implement targeted actions to improve employee engagement in own business unit / function
- Identify capability needs, drive capability development and manage the talent pipeline accordingly
- Assess and coach executives to improve their leadership effectiveness
- Drive the implementation of policies, guidelines, processes, tools, programmes, and initiatives along the whole HR value chain (people plan, organisational effectiveness and design, change and diversity management, employee engagement, learning interventions)
- Measure the impact of people deliverables on the achievement of business goals
- Bachelors Degree and/or professional qualification (e.g. CIPD)
- Minimum of 12 years related HRD experience
- Knowledge and proven track record in implementation of impactful HR development and workplace programmes (e.g. employee relations, employment equity, talent, organizational effectiveness & development, engagement)
- Experience in facilitating leadership teams
- Business partnering experience (Executive level)
