Corporate Placement Team Leader

- Manages, mentors, and oversees performance management for a small to medium-sized group, coordinates the workload of team members, and ensures the team is appropriately staffed to meet client needs.
- Management of staff and member of the management team.
- Utilizes significant risk expertise and knowledge of the Property & Casualty industry and carriers to act as a lead negotiator and develop placement solutions that meet client needs.
- Drive the best deals in the market.
- Implements the placement strategy, in conjunction with Client Executives and Clients to achieve growth goals and provide exceptional client service
- Develops the go-to-market strategy, articulates the value of the placement function, and participates in the pricing of services as applicable.
- Facilitates the submission of coverage specifications and obtains quotes from carriers based on the "assist, advise, and assume" transaction model.
- Binds coverage and is responsible for the accuracy of placement binders.
- Creates and maintains relationships with practice, insurance markets, clients, carriers, and/or underwriters to provide cohesive client service.
- Build strong relationships with insurers at senior level
- Advises on changing insurance and risk management market conditions and informs client executives, client advisors, and/or clients of major developments affecting various types of products/coverage.
- Works closely with client executives and client teams to support client retention and new business production.
- Supports and assists in the development of new products.
- Manages market relationships working with senior National Practices market relationship managers.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in placing large sized complex risks
- Prior experience in staff management
- Relevant Tertiary and or Insurance/Risk Management qualification
- Must be FAIS compliant
- Fluent in English
