What will you do?
As the General Manager IT Infrastructure you will oversee IT Infrastructure and Support teams and will be responsible for the strategic and operational planning technical function in an organisation.
In this role you will direct activities of engineering staff engaged in preparing plans, designs, cost estimates and specifications for experimental, maintenance or modernisation programmes to determine most feasible approach to technical problems and improvements.
The GM will drive the design and implementation of infrastructure architecture, develop and execute a long-term strategic technology roadmap, and continuously monitor and report on technology performance, security, and vulnerabilities.
- Review of business continuity and disaster recovery plans and the implementation thereof.
- Report on infrastructure and support estate to various committees.
- Direct infrastructure team's project deployment and objectives.
- Attend and report to various IT Security and Steering Committee group meetings.
- Track and report systems downtime and work with the infrastructure teams to find solutions which might cause downtime.
- Maintain high-level knowledge of current and emerging technologies and solutions.
