PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
IT Support for East London production JIT applications, systems and services based at the East London production facility. Previous manufacturing/JIT/automotive experience preferred but not essential.
Key Responsibilities Would Include
- Complete online daily checklist activities.
- Providing 1st/2nd line technical support & problem analysis/rectification.
- Ensure documentation and procedures are maintained and improved in accordance with ISMS and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
- Ensuring pro-active monitoring of systems using key performance indicators and dashboards.
- Ensuring performance and availability of all computer systems including hardware, networks, IT security and telecommunications are maintained within the agreed SLAs.
- Monitor Ivanti call logging system and resolve production tickets within agreed SLA.
- Maintain Computer systems to current corporate standards Windows 10 / Server 2019.
- Scorecard compliance activities including system patching, antivirus and CM.
- Purchasing for all IT operations service requirements.
- Configuring all onsite hardware including desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, thin clients, industrial PCs.
- Deploying hardware into production environment to agreed schedules within maintenance windows.
- Processing New user equipment requests / processing Leaver data and equipment requests.
- Monitoring customer sequences messages.
- Providing support on production systems LPS and LJS
- Maintenance and upkeep of networking infrastructure, ensuring stability of LAN/WAN by proactive monitoring and resolving issues, to include Cisco switch configuration, fault finding and hardware upgrades.
- Monitoring Avamar Backup processes.
- Virtual Server monitoring and preventative maintenance to ensure 100% uptime.
- Ensuring all corporate requirements are delivered satisfactorily and on time.
- Disaster recovery corporate compliance and failover testing practices.
- Software license, inventory and hardware maintenance management.
- General administration and housekeeping of hot swap equipment and materials in IT Storage
National Diploma or Degree in Information Systems and / or MCSE
Related Experience
- At least 5 years work experience in IT System Support Environment.
- At least 3 years work experience in manufacturing/automotive support environment preferred.
- Hardware - HP Servers and SAN/EMC storage solutions.
- Windows Server 2016/2019 | MS SQL Server 2012/2016 | Windows 7/10 | Microsoft Office 365.
- Cisco certification advantageous.
- VMware vSphere knowledge advantageous.
- Working knowledge of IT technologies and best practices essential.
- Experienced IT professional with proven ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced JIT environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external business partners.
- Team player.
- Innovative thinker with capability of driving business improvement through the company.
- Able to work with tight deadlines to meet business requirements.

- Understanding of EDI flows and troubleshooting
Additional Requirements
Occasional on call and/or onsite support scheduled on a team rotation basis, when required to support customer demand or perform major system/infrastructure changes.
