Role Objectives
- Develop and maintain effective business relationships with brokers and travel agents in order to attract, develop and retain profitable business.
- Effectively market all products and services in collaboration with the Centre of Excellence (COE: Hollard Travel).
- Interpret, explain and effectively market Travel products and services
- Process all sales and underwriting transactions assigned, within the set standards required by Hollard thus contributing to the productivity of the division as set out within parameters delegated to you from time to time.
- Contribute to the growth and profitability of the Hollard Insure
- Ensure all technical aspects of administrative functions within the department is adhered to.
- Enhance the image of the company through the continuous delivery of efficient and effective customer service
- Sales and Marketing: Sell Hollard products to brokers and/or agents using cold-selling techniques. Contribute to effective marketing of the Hollard Travel Insurance products by answering questions, resolve problems on topics such as policy status, policy payment, etc, and explaining new or revised products and processes. Create PowerPoint presentations and present face-to-face or via Teams to brokers and/or agents.
- Account Management: Meet goals for budget and quality of business quoted and written within Hollard Travel guidelines. Interact frequently with brokers and/or agents (B2B client base). Develop relationships with existing and new B2B client base. Obtain new business from B2B value chain. Manage growth, including new B2B clients. Provide training to brokers and/or agents on Hollard Travel products, processes and systems before they are signed up, and continue with regular training to ensure they understand the products, systems and processes. Ensure that all premiums are received and up to date on all accounts in portfolio. In collaboration with credit control review and discuss all outstanding premiums and arrears with Brokers and Travel Agents on a monthly basis. Discuss claim case studies with brokers and travel agents to ensure we assist with consumer education.
- Underwriting/Risk Analysis: Prepare and analyze qualitative and quantitative monthly data against budgets. Recommend creative alternatives to management with a view of optimizing premiums, coverage and terms and conditions. Recommend or implement changes to improve productivity, profitability, growth and the quality of assigned book of business. Decline unsuitable risks.
- Relationship Management: Interact frequently with brokers and/or agents. Build effective relationships internally so that our travel agent and brokers expectations are exceeded.
- Customer service: Communicate in a clear manner both verbally and via email with B2B and B2C client base. Assist office staff when volumes require additional resources.
- Networking: Identify prospective customers using established lead methods. Attend work-related functions during office hours and/or after hours. Represent the companys brand in a positive manner to attract new business and maintain existing business.
- Communicate as needed with stakeholders to obtain information needed to complete screening and transactions, etc.
- Reporting: Produce monthly reports (Excel and Word) detailing sales and underwriting trends. Provide feedback (reporting) to senior management on achievements, pending issues, problems and suggested recommendations. Gather market intelligence and report movement in the market to management immediately to ensure we remain ahead of our competitors.
- Continuous Process Improvement and Compliance: Adhere to and maintain standards pertaining to sales processes and recommend improvements.
- Recordkeeping: Documents, registers, e-mails etc to be kept up to date at all times.
- Legal and Compliance: Ensure that customers are treated fairly and comply with relevant legislation at all times.
- Employee Growth: Take responsibility for your own career growth and have regular discussions with relevant role players.
