Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Junior Electrical or Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the director and be responsible for designing and implementing cutting-edge water treatment solutions. Your expertise in electrical or mechanical engineering will be instrumental in ensuring our systems not only meet but exceed industry standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop innovative water filtration systems, integrating mechanical and electrical components.
- Employ engineering software for system blueprint creation, catering to client-specific requirements.
- Conduct rigorous testing to ensure product quality and system capability, adhering to organizational standards.
- Collaborate in system component maintenance and improvements, focusing on functionality and efficiency.
- Compile comprehensive documentation for system designs, including wiring diagrams, schematics, and assembly drawings.
- Oversee commissioning of water treatment systems, ensuring optimal performance and client satisfaction.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot operational issues in existing systems, providing effective solutions.
- Proficient in electrical build work, with plumbing and pipework skills being advantageous.
- Skilled in electrical wiring, particularly for pumps, relays, and float switches.
- Experience in commissioning water treatment systems, including system handover and operation explanation.
- Capable of diagnosing faults in existing systems via remote communication.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Solidworks.
- Strong focus on electronics testing and design processes.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum one year of experience as an engineer, with a focus on electro-mechanical systems.
- Knowledge in PLC design.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Valid drivers license and own transport.
- Currently residing in Cape Town.
