Job description
Were on the lookout for an ambitious Junior Marketing Manager to join our small, but growing Marketing team. You will be responsible for planning and executing the day-to-day marketing campaigns across various digital channels from blog and content management, to social media and email newsletters.
In this role, you will promote the Dineplan software and services and ensure that the Dineplan brand has a strong digital presence. As were all foodies at heart, it's important that you are as passionate about the South African food and restaurant industry as we are!
Responsibilities
- Strategy: Collaborate with the Marketing team to formulate campaigns and high quality content across various channels. All efforts need to be inline with Dineplans overall marketing strategy and business objectives.
- Planning: Develop a monthly content calendar and ensure all campaign deadlines are met.
- Blog management: Write and publish new posts, as well as update and maintain evergreen SEO-focused content on our Wordpress-based blog.
- Social media: Plan and post engaging content according to the content calendar to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and so on. To effectively engage with different audiences, it's crucial to approach each platform uniquely.
- Email marketing: Assist the Marketing team with planning, testing and sending monthly email campaigns.
- Reporting: Analyse key web traffic metrics and generate ideas to improve content and increase customer engagement across the blog, newsletters and social media.
- BSc degree in Marketing, Business Management, Journalism or relevant field
- 2+ years of experience in a marketing and/or social media role
- Excellent communication and writing skills (English)
- Your own transport
- Have a love for all things marketing, from campaign conceptualisation to social media, email marketing and paid media;
- Have an eye for detail and a well-developed but adaptable design aesthetic;
- Be skilled in and enjoy content creation and copywriting for various platforms and audiences;
- Have a working knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, WordPress and YouTube, as well as Meta Business Manager;
- Be familiar with SEO, SEM, social advertising and budget tracking;
- Be comfortable with reporting, reading data and using Google Analytics;
- Understand target markets, trends and how to monitor competitors;
- Be organised and good at managing their time;
- Be able to multitask, manage high volumes of work and perform well under pressure to meet project deadlines;
- Be independent and able to work well within dynamic teams;
- Be open and receptive to feedback;
- Be proficient in MS Office and Google Suite;
- And, most importantly, have an eagerness to learn new skills and grow.
