The Enrolled Nurse (EN) supports the Registered Nurse (RN) in the provision of patient-centred care as specified by registration requirements.
About The Team
Collinsville Multipurpose Health Service is in the Whitsunday Regional Shire in the town of Collinsville, approximately 86km southwest from Bowen, a journey which takes approximately 1 hour from Bowen. Collinsville has approximately 2500 residents.
The Collinsville Multipurpose Health Service consists of eight acute care beds, seven aged care beds, 24 hr emergency care, outpatient care, visiting Allied Health Services - including pharmacy, radiology occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech pathology, mental health and AODS, child health, social work, Nurse Navigator and Diversional Therapist.
A private GP practice is co-located within the hospital and the Medical Superintendent has right to private practice. The QAS is also co-located on within the hospital.
Collinsville MPHS staff its shifts on a minimum safe staffing level. The model of care is a patient centred model of care. There is a Registered Nurse and Enrolled Nurse on all shifts, an Assistant in Nursing works on the morning and afternoon shifts. Staff has the assistance of a NUM and/or DON if required. A Clinical Nurse Educator visits fortnightly, RN's from TEMSU and RSQ are also able to provide advice via telephone and television if required.

The district covers an area of approximately 90, 000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
