IPA are currently seeking multiple, experienced Lifeguards and Program Instructor's for well-known Aquatic centers based in the Logan area.
As a Lifeguard or Program Instructor you will be responsible for supervising the aquatic activities of patrons and conduct swim classes. You will also use you experience to aid in emergency rescues and first aid.
What kind of responsibilities will I have?
Conducting Learn to Swim classes for various ages and levels Swimming pool and surrounding area surveillance General cleaning and maintenance of the facility as required Undertake general administration/front desk duties as required Contribute to co-ordination and programming of swimming programs What kind of experience / skillset are you looking for?
Minimum 12 months previous experience as a swim teacher High level of communication and interpersonal skills Administration or Reception experience would be advantageous Point of Sale (POS) and/or cash handling skills is highly desirable Mandatory Qualifications / Accreditations
First Aid and resuscitation certificates Working with Children Blue Card or ability to obtain one RLSSA Pool Lifeguard Certificate Austswim or Swim Australia Accreditation is essential In order to be successful for this role you must undergo a functional assessment to determine your suitability for the position. You will be placed on an on-call roster and may be required to work additional shifts across a 7-day roster.
