Deal Specialist: Syndicated Loan Agent

Job Purpose

Effectively implement and oversee a portfolio of syndicated loan transactions in strict accordance with legal agreements and regulatory requirements. Utilize available systems, adhere to internal processes, and coordinate loan activities among various transaction parties.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate syndicated loan transactions, serving as a liaison between borrowers and financial institutions.
  • Manage communication with syndicate members, ensuring a clear understanding of terms and conditions.
  • Monitor loan portfolios, assess risks, and provide timely reports to stakeholders.
  • Take action and monitor deal activities in compliance with legal agreements and regulatory requirements, utilizing systems like Loan IQ and Debt Domain.
  • Provide advice to key stakeholders on legal agreements, regulatory requirements, policies, and processes to effectively manage risk.
  • Propose practical solutions for deal implementation and ongoing management to mitigate risk and enhance the client experience.
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders, delivering high-quality input, proactive issue resolution, and open communication.
  • Maintain accurate and reliable data on all transactions for timely and accurate management information.
  • Stay informed about market trends and regulatory changes affecting syndicated lending.
Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
Preferred Qualification

Advanced degree in finance or related field and/or a professional certification in syndicated lending.

Minimum Experience Level

A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in syndicated lending or a related financial role.
