Viking Fishing, a Division of Sea Harvest, has a position available for a Maintenance Superintendent reporting to the Fleet Technical Manager.
Responsibilities
- Oversee engineering administration department.
- Manage shore-based maintenance requirements.
- Manage maintenance and projects on designated vessels.
- Manage internal workshops- and contractors performance.
- Ensure all day to day- and planned maintenance up to date.
- Manage designated vessel drydocking.
- Identify and ensure critical spares in stock.
- Identify and manage approved upgrades and cost saving initiatives.
- Compile and adhere to vessel budgets.
- NQF 6 or 7 Mechanical engineering qualification such as B.Tech, National Higher Diploma (T4) Mech Eng.,
- 10 years post qualification applicable maintenance and ship maintenance experience.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be medically fit.
- Must be prepared to work overtime as required.
- Must be a team player with a can-do attitude.
- Viking Fishing will require contactable references.
