Viking Fishing Division (South Arm)

Viking Fishing, a Division of Sea Harvest, has a position available for a Maintenance Superintendent reporting to the Fleet Technical Manager.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering administration department.
• Manage shore-based maintenance requirements.
• Manage maintenance and projects on designated vessels.
• Manage internal workshops- and contractors performance.
• Ensure all day to day- and planned maintenance up to date.
• Manage designated vessel drydocking.
• Identify and ensure critical spares in stock.
• Identify and manage approved upgrades and cost saving initiatives.
• Compile and adhere to vessel budgets.

Position Requirements

• NQF 6 or 7 Mechanical engineering qualification such as B.Tech, National Higher Diploma (T4) Mech Eng.,
• 10 years post qualification applicable maintenance and ship maintenance experience.
• Good communication skills.
• Must be medically fit.
• Must be prepared to work overtime as required.
• Must be a team player with a can-do attitude.
• Viking Fishing will require contactable references.
