Job Description
Your responsibilities include:
- Consistently apply Safety & Health principles in all team interactions and take personal responsibility for safety of self and others to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalities.
- Performing the inspections of underground railway in order to plan and execute replacement/repair/upgrading.
- Ensuring the prioritization, planning and scheduling of areas to be upgraded.
- Responsible for specialized coaching on teams that are performing all trackwork and upgrades.
- Drive delivery of sustainability activities as relevant to discipline through the execution of work to improve sustainability performance over time.
- Acting as a role model and actively engage as a team member in all team processes.
- Adhere to Anglo American compliance requirements within work area.
- Managing adherence to compliance governance within the function.
Qualifications
- Grade 12
- Track Master Certificate of Competency or relevant experience.
- At least 3 years experience in rail construction and maintenance.
- Project management fundamentals.
- New technologies and their impact on operational activities within scope of role.
- Business improvement tools and techniques applicable within Mining.
- Aware of legislative changes with respect to tailings management.
- Drivers license code 08 with own transport
- Working overtime and standby
- If successful, you will be required to undergo a Medical Fitness Test
