OffWorld Africa, based in Johannesburg, is an affiliate of OffWorld, Inc. (OffWorld US), with its headquarters in Los Angeles, California. Combined with its European & Australia operations, OffWorld currently has over 75 team members and over 6, 000 sqm of engineering facilities. OffWorld Africa is focused on developing and deploying modules to be deployed on mines throughout the African region.

Our team needs a dynamic Junior Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic Engineer candidate who has a passion for robotics, and will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical and electronic systems for our projects.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical and electronic systems for robotics and space projects
- Work with the design team to create schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB layouts
- Conduct tests and analyze data to ensure system functionality and performance
- Collaborate with other engineers, technicians and disciplines to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in electrical and electronic engineering
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- Develop new standards to incorporate in our products
- B.Eng/B.Tech Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems and components
- Experience with SolidWorks Electrical is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for robotics
- Willing to get their hands dirty from time to time
