Medical Receptionist

Our client, a Plastic Surgeon based in the City Centre of Cape Town, is seeking to recruit a receptionist with experience. Someone who will be an Ambassador for the practice and attend to all the necessary responsibilities with professionalism and excellent patient care.

Requirements
  • Greet and assist patients in a courteous and kind manner, whether in person or telephonically.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain records and accounts.
  • Attend to patient enquiries.
  • Run an efficient diary and appointment schedule. Keep patients informed if the Dr is running late and manage service delays professionally.
  • Efficient filing and retrieving of patient records.
  • Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording and updating personal and financial information.
  • Maintain practice inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, verifying receipt of supplies, and scheduling equipment service and repairs.
  • Attend to patient emergencies.
  • Circulation of theatre lists and co-ordination of theatre logistics
  • General administration.
Qualification
  • At least 2 years experience in a similar medical receptionist position
  • Medical software experience will be an advantage

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 08h00 to 17h00 (with occasional overtime as the practice demands)
