Purpose of Role: The position supports Kathu and Cape Town branches including field services with compliance to national and local legislation, meeting of all group SHE requirements and behavior based safety standards. The updating and maintenance of the sites risk assessments and monitoring on the BBS gap analysis action list, group audit action list and management of Shield system for the facilities across the region.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with compliance with relevant local legislation across all the countries.
- Management, administration, document control and updating of SHE Management System documents in accordance with the ISO and Weir Group Standards requirements
- Management and administration of environmental requirements, that includes waste management, permits, licenses and other
- Administration, maintenance and updating of SHE Management system documentation system
- Implement and maintain the Weir ZERO Harm Behavioral Framework
- Co-ordinate and maintain SHE Electronic Management Systems with regards to documentation and data input
- Assist in developing and oversee the companys internal and external training requirements (Contractor and employees) i.e. Induction, fire drills, accident prevention
- Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
- Higher National Diploma (Preferably in the field of SHE) or equivalent
- NEBOSH Advantageous
- Relevant drivers license
- 5 years SHE experience in a manufacturing environment
- Implementation and maintenance of the ISO 45001, ISO 14001 systems
- Managing related Safety, Health and Environmental legislation
