Core Description
Responsible for performing analysis, operational activities and assurance to support business processes for Identity & Access Management. This includes is but not limited to projects, operational support, ensuring compliance to policies and procedures as well as recommending solutions to technology partners.
Ops Specialist: IAM Governance will work under direct supervision and guidance of the Snr Specialist: Identity & Access Governance and in close collaboration with the Corporate Information Security Governance (CISG) team to provide end-to-end Identity & Access Management support services for the Telkom group in order to manage and mitigate information access risks.
Job Responsibilities
- Design Identity and Access Management business and operational processes, work instructions and training material.
- Understand IAM business requirement and convert these requirements into specifications, models & systems designs.
- Liaise with business and technology units to facilitate the delivery of IAM projects.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of processes to improve the management of identity provisioning and de-provisioning.
- Assess, design, and implement controls for ensuring that IAM services are operating as expected.
- Monitor and report on provisioning activities and processes.
- Manage operational, assurance and IAM support activities.
- Engage with business to capture, analyse and document IAM business requirements to determine new or changed requirements; propose new or improved business processes; engage with application owners to ensure IAM requirements for business systems are properly defined.
- Document end-to-end processes and procedures for identity lifecycle management and user access management.
Functional Knowledge:
Development of high-quality training material and curriculum for line managers, and general users, regarding user access management processes; Conduct on-going training of line managers, system administrators and users; Report on Support, Operations and Assurance functions; Create and maintain IAM standards and governance activities.
Functional Skills:
Understanding of identity and access management solutions; Familiarity with best practices and compliance standards; Able to work and manage own time independently; Ability to translate business requirements into technical objectives for development teams

Education
- NQF 6: 3 year Diploma/ National Diploma

Additional Information
Certifications, Qualifications and Experience:
- Security+
- CoBIT or ITIL certification or knowledge.
- Degree or Diploma in IT or Information Security.
- Practical experience in IT or Information Security, of which two years must include an IAM or related role.
- Strong understanding of identity and access management solutions.
- Good people skills.
- Familiarity with best practices and compliance standards.
