Key Performance Areas:
- Promote and market our clients products to new and existing customers in a professional, effective and efficient manner
- Be an ambassador for our clients and convey this in his/her daily conduct.
- Cover the areas discussed and agreed with the Sales & Marketing Executive.
- Ensure that all marketing material is optimally utilized to promote and market our clients products.
- Achieve monthly sales & growth targets, which will include regional areas, product specific targets and ultimately overall branch sales targets.
- Be required to formulate a sales strategy on current and future market requirements and to develop and renew this plan on a regular basis.
- Visit and call all existing and new customers in the areas allocated to the employee. The employee is required to visit and support all existing customers and cold call on new customers to grow the customer base. This includes telephone calls, site visits, etc., to customers on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
- Ensure when visiting customers that any demo equipment either in the employees possession or displayed at the customers premises are in good working order and perform any repairs required as soon as possible
- Promote sales through: referrals, telephone calls, sms campaigns and/or any other suitable means of promoting and marketing our clients products.
- Forecast & submit his/her annual marketing requirements for the new financial year. This forecast must be submitted every year by the last business day of August.
- Market and sell all products according to the different pricing on all core products, determined by the company, which will include Distributor, Trade & Retail pricing. Maximise GP% return on all transactions.
- Stay up-to-date with the entire our clients product range both current and new and to ensure he/she understands all contents within promotional pamphlets and or manuals relevant to company products.
- Ensure to Stay well-informed on the oppositions product range and associated market pricing.
- Plan and execute regular training and open day sessions, which will include product sales and technical training.
- Weekly call reports: The employee is required to complete a weekly call report on all issues relating to his/her customers, and to respond to actions noted by manager/s. This report must be e-mailed timeously to manager/s on the day agreed upon.
- Monthly sales reports: The employee is required to analyse the monthly sales reports, add their comments, and forward them onto the manager/s on or before the 5th calendar day of the new month. The following is required in this report: Sales per Customer, Sales per Product and Top customers.
- Deliver a professional and effective customer and technical support service to customers internally and externally
- Ensure customer satisfaction and prevent complaints.
- Create a culture of ownership within your branch and be accountable for your actions and behaviour.
- Promote and live the companies values when working with customers.
- Deliver a superior professional (strive for excellence, trustworthy, accountable, courteous and respectful, honest, competence and improve continually) customer services and ensure your behaviour is in line with our clients values, our image, appearance, dress code, work ethics, communication skills.
- Offer high level sales / product technical support to all customers and adhere to the service levels approved by the company.
- To perform effective and efficient sales administrative and ad-hoc tasks within the Branch
- Comply 100% with the company policies, procedures, practices, rules, standards and ensure all procedures followed are transparent (e.g., credit applications, processing of accounts, debtors, mobile phone, pricing, conduct with customers (internally and externally) etc.).
- Report and/or escalate all identified risks immediately to the Sales and Marketing Executive.
- If and when required, open and close the branch and maintain operational hours.
- Make recommendations to management to Improve internal branch administration processes and sales controls to ensure effectiveness and efficiency within the Branch.
- Optimize standard and available electronic tools 100% (MS Office, Sage Evolution, Skynamo, cell phones, Teams)
- Perform ad-hoc tasks within the ambit of your job.
- NQF 4 (Grade 12) or any other relevant qualification.
- NQF 5 or 6 Diploma within Sales and Marketing will be an advantage.
- 3-5 years experience in sales.
- Experience within the security and/or gate and door automation industry will be an advantage.
- The ability to work to deadlines and to reach targets.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- Computer Literate
- No criminal record.
- Must be a South African Citizen.
