Plant Manager (3.1a)

A great mining company in Rustenburg, North West is seeking the expertise of a Plant Manager (3.1a) to join their team of professionals.

Responsibilities

• Effective operation of the plant as an effective business unit to an agreed business plan and process parameters
• Develop a 2-5 years resource and mining strategy and coordinate ore and services to the plant
• Responsible for compilation and control of production, quality and cost budgets
• Creating a high-performing team and a conducive employee relations climate - people management (HR and IR) in a unionized environment
• Ensures adherence to legislative requirements and the companys Health and Safety Standards
• Financial Management (operational and capital cost budgets)
• Responsible for research and development
• Maintain a good relationship with the clients at host-mine and liaise on all relevant plant issues

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Degree in Metallurgical / Chemical / Extraction Metallurgy
• Postgraduate Qualification (Advantageous)
• 10 - 12 years experience in a plant mining environment
• Minimum 5 years at manager level

Benefits

• Salary: R1.6M/yr - R1.8M/yr, negotiable
