The successful incumbent for this position will be responsible for
- Managing Company Vendor Master, including updating vendor information
- Manage preferred vendor list
- Reporting on all procurement metrics, measuring progress towards achieving deliverables
- Gather and analyse data to support procurement decision making
- Tracking procurement savings initiatives and collaborating with buyers to achieve savings
- Tracking of procurement purchasing expectations
- Assist in DMR reporting and achievement of BBBEE/Mining Charter preferential targets
- Act as a liaison between accounts payable and procurement for queries relating to vendor accounts
- Assist in developing procurement policies and procedures
- Supplier performance management including supplier performance reviews
- Liaison with stakeholders to ensure procurement deliverables are met
- Commercial or Technical qualification (a qualification in supply chain/procurement advantageous)
- Minimum 5 years experience in procurement/supply chain in a mining environment
- Appropriate IT systems experience (Oracle, JDE, IBM Cognos TM1) and advanced Excel
- Working experience and knowledge of service-level agreements and contracts
- Working knowledge of BBBEE and Mining Charter
