General Description
 
Product Architect makes intuitive high-level decisions for product development. You will see the big picture and create architectural approaches for insurance product design and implementation to guide the development team. Must have strong technical background and excellent development skills, experienced in designing and possess ability to develop a unified vision for product characteristics and functions. 
 
Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new products or applications.
• Use tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface of desired product
• Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility.
• Successfully communicate all concepts and guidelines to development team and relevant stakeholders.
• Quality control of development to ensure consistency with initial specifications.
• As and when required provide technical guidance to developers.
• Ensure product meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility etc.
• Approve final product before role out and launch.
• Ensure Knowledge is transferred between team members to ensure business continuity.

Experience and Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Certification in project management and or business analysis
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a product architect or in a similar role, and in the insurance and financial industry
• Experience in SQL an advantage
• Experience in Product Configuration on a PAS system ad advantage
• Knowledge of Sasria rules and regulations an advantage
