Reporting to the Project Manager, the successful applicant will be required to assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, timelines, milestones and project budgets.
Main Responsibilities
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of project schedules, timelines, milestones and project budgets.
- Coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, and recording minutes.
- Tracking project progress and updating status reports for stakeholders.
- Ensuring that project outputs meet the required quality standards.
- Leading smaller projects under the guidance of the Project Manager.
- Collaborating closely within a mixed-discipline team to achieve Departmental objectives and have a basic understanding of all engineering disciplines.
- Assisting with distribution and tracking of new products during engineering testing phases.
- Managing and maintaining project documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Preparing and organizing project-related materials, including contracts, budgets, reports and meeting minutes.
- Ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory documentation standards.
- Acting as a point of contact for project teams and stakeholders to facilitate effective communication.
- Providing timely updates on project developments, risks, and outcomes.
- Supporting the dissemination of information across departments and teams.
- Working closely with marketing, sales, finance, exports and production departments to ensure project alignment with business goals.
- Collaborating closely with management, stay updated on all project statuses and ensure that Concerto correctly reflects reality.
- Assisting in tracking project budgets and expenses, ensuring alignment with approved allocations.
- Monitoring resource allocation and highlight potential shortages or inefficiencies.
- Preparing financial summaries for project review.
- Maintaining a log of project risks, issues, and resolutions.
- Assisting in identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
- Supporting follow-ups on action items and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Contributing to the development and improvement of project management processes and tools.
- Providing feedback to enhance team efficiency and project delivery.
- Participating in post-project reviews to identify lessons learned.
- Coordinating and communicating product certifications to be adhered to.
- Maintaining records of testing procedures and results E.g. ICASA, LOA, CE, UKCA etc.
- Preparing, administering, and filing project correspondence and records according to ISO 9001 standards.
- Working in a professional manner consistent with the companys commitment to excellence.
- Understanding and effectively manage personal time in accordance with committed timelines provided to the Project Manager and management team.
- 3-5 years work experience in a R&D Product Development environment.
- Theory of Constraints (TOC) knowledge would be an advantage.
- Minimum B.Tech in any Engineering discipline.
- PMBOK or equivalent would be an advantage.
- Experience with technical projects involving hardware, software, firmware, and mechanical components.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
