Main Purpose Of Role
To drive business change that delivers value through the structured implementation and delivery of implementation projects against time, resource and scope constraints. The project manager is responsible for planning and overseeing all system implementation projects to ensure they are completed in a timely and professional manner.
The project manager must plan resources, monitor progress and keep stakeholders informed through the project lifecycle. Projects will largely be focussed on new implementation s of payments and collection systems but can extend to other business specific projects.
Key Performance Areas
- Manage and oversee implementation projects of new clients, including documenting client requirements and identifying customisation.
- Planning and coordinating of resources to ensure Implementation is completed efficiently and effectively.
- Effectively and professionally engage with clients ensuring a client focussed approach.
- Drive the execution of project activities.
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
- Managing and collaborating with internal resources to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Report and escalate to accountable stakeholders as needed, include proposed solutions to respond to the risks.
- Function at all levels of business as an implementation expert by eliciting, modelling, documenting, and managing the implementation in line with the client's unique requirements.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedule and work plan.
- Ensure effective and timely project updated and reporting to all stakeholders.
- Manage and update implementation pipeline (tracking and updating of all implementations).
- Tertiary qualification (B degree, Diploma/ Certificate in Business Analysis and Project Development/ IT).
- 3 years Project Management experience within Collections / EFT environment.
- PASA Foundations course (advantage).
- Driver's License and own car.
- DebiCheck, EFT Collection and Payments Implementation experience advantageous.
- 5 years exposure to financial services industry is advantageous (Payments and Collections).
- Excellent knowledge of the South African payments / collection industry regarding services and compliance.
- Project management of system implementations.
Technical and Behavioural Competencies Required:
- Project Management (system implementation) experience.
- Collection's knowledge and experience (Debit Order, DebiCheck Etc.)
- EFT Credit Knowledge.
- Communication with multiple business units throughout the organisation.
- Ability to read, understand and communicate technical documentation; and
- Competent user of Microsoft Office product suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
- Experience is managing client and internal stakeholder expectations.
