What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it)
You will report directly to the Senior Project Manager who is very knowledgeable, has vast experience, is passionate about knowledge transfer, a "get things done while having fun" kind of guy. You will assist him with the overall successful delivery of projects ensuring consistency with the overall business strategy. You will assist the Manager to drive project delivery in order to support the business in building a sustainable, diversified and expandable systems structure to meet current and future customer and market demands. You will be contributing to the future-oriented business development efforts of the Company as well as to create value for their customers.
You will assist in ensuring that systems, procedures, and methodologies are in place to support outstanding project delivery. You will take accountability for project timelines and delivery as well as manage requests through the backlog and delivery pipeline and work well with any outsourced 3rd party providers.
Where you'll be doing it
The role will at first be full office based in town CBD during your probation period. After that, they're looking at a minimum of 2 days in office. The core business hours are 45 yours a week, Monday to Friday, 09:30 to 16:00 which allows for flexible working hours.
The company is part of a large international travel related group and their culture is diverse and they embrace individualism. Their set up is similar to a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) type environment. While you're part of a large international and can enjoy the benefits of that, you'll be part of a smaller part of that where you'll able to connect with all employees. What you'll need
You'll be needing a tertiary qualification in project management or PMP/Prince 2 or equivalent with a mimimum of 3 years project management experience where you've worked on multiple projects at one time and are experienced in the full project lifecycle.
You will need to be able to cope well in a fast paced and pressurised environment, are high quality results focused and extremely analytical.
You're systems and process thinking, have strong stakeholder management, attention to detail and proactive. You're a tech guru, a natural when it comes to problem solving and working on different systems and programs.!
