Key Performance Areas
- Manage contracts to ensure compliance with contract terms and mitigating risks.
- Prepare tender estimates, budgets and cash flows.
- Do cost control and reporting during pre-contract period.
- Draft and prepare Bills of Quantities, review enquiry documents and manage commercial contract evaluation and negotiation of the terms and conditions.
- Plan and organise all commercial management processes and contractual deadlines, budget and resources for a project.
- Manage contract entitlements, variations, payments, claims management and dispute resolution including cost control, reporting and budgeting for main and subcontracts from inception to completion of a project.
- Conduct QS meetings with other departments, sub-contractors and client.
- Manage and assist direct reports.
- Any other job related duties as required from time to time.

- B.Sc. QS, B.Sc. QS (Hons) or B.Tech. QS degree.
- Professional registration with SACQSP or RICS would be advantageous.
- Management and leadership qualification would be advantageous.
- 5 Years Quantity Surveying experience preferably in the mechanical field.
- Knowledge of engineering contracts (NEC and FIDIC).
- Ability to read and understand project schedules.
- Knowledge of estimating.
- Computer literate (MS Office).
