ChristianaCare's Newark Hospital Imaging Department is currently recruiting for a Full Time X-Ray Tech II to work in our Hospital OR primarily on a 10 hour day schedule! The successful candidate will support the team covering 2 holidays a year, and one weekend a month either on call or working in the facility.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
- To provide direction and guidance to the technical and clerical.
- To perform diagnostic radiographic procedures according to departmental policy and guidelines.
- Content level expert of radiographic equipment and knowledge and proficiency to troubleshoot.
- Content level expert of radiology supported computer systems.
- Supports and assists of clinical training of staff and students.
- Assists and demonstrates complex knowledge and proficiency in the use of radiographic equipment.
- Acquire images; which includes proper identification of patient, date and time; history and markers on images.
- Ability to use the RIS, HIS, and Intergy computer systems and accurately enter patient information.
- Ensures adequate history of patient is obtained and documented.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Ability to use and perform QC on PACS, Computed Radiography and/or Digital Radiography Systems.
- Ability to burn patient CDs
- 3 years experience as a staff technologist.
- Completion of two-year program in Radiology Technology is required
- An Associates degree is required; candidates are required to obtain their Associates of Science degree (can be substituted within a related field), within three (3) years of their start date as outlined in the Education Agreement required to be signed as a condition of employment.
- Mammography certified when applicable
- Breast Center and Satellite requires triple credentialing and triple practicing
- ARRT registered
- Delaware State License
- ARRT Mammography Registered if applicable.
