Job description
This role requires:
Project management ability
- keeping track of and managing deliverables across multiple events
- enjoying keeping track of systems and processes
- Knowing how to prioritise concurrent tasks
- Honest communication - flagging when things go wrong
- An understanding and confidence working with data in Excel and other tools
- A friendly manner and good at resolving client queries
- Have a sense of ownership and determination to get the job done
- Understanding of what happens 'under the hood' vs just enjoying attending a live event
- Valid passport and willing to travel to DRC and Nigeria if needed (+-3 times per year)
As we work in live events, what we do is typically arranged into pre event, during event and post event periods, e.g.:
Pre-event
- Overseeing event registration from the registration software
- Ensure event registrations reflect correctly on our CRM platform
- Checking and flagging registration payments status
- Feeding back registration stats to teams for tracking purposes
- Liaising with sales team
- Compile event plan - quotes for equipment, badges, planning layout and project timelines for onsite registration, writing brief for onsite team (operations)
- Management of outsource registration contractor and temporary staff
- Ensure smooth workflow at event site
- Manage temp staff
- Resolve client queries
- Post-event data checking, briefing of researchers for enriching data
