Feedstock acquisition
- Securing of feedstock for all company projects:
- Actively engaging and managing waste producers and waste companies;
- Implementation of strategies to ensure continuous supply in line with plant capacity;
- Liaising with feedstock suppliers regarding delivery as and when required;
- Feedstocks to comply with operational requirements.
- Negotiating feedstock supply agreements with waste suppliers, with a mandate from the CEO
- Sourcing new feedstock suppliers within the effective radius of the plants
- Attend all supplier audits at the plants
- Keep accurate records of all feedstock deliveries (dates and volumes) and approve for payment
- Identify quality feedstock for the purpose of best AD results:
- High value feedstock maximising gas production;
- Avoidance of troublesome feedstock
- Issue non-conformance reports in cases of out-of-spec feedstock
- Continuous and regular supply.
- Participate in feedstock studies for new project developments in SA and in Africa
- Develop or assist in developing a clear and sustainable digestate strategy with a view to identifying a least cost option to BBP.
- Monitoring the chemical composition of the digestate at the end of the AD process.
Business / Project Development
- It is also acknowledged that there is a business / project development component to the role, which will become more important over time, including:
- Presenting at Conferences/Seminars/Workshops and generally showcasing BBP;
- Project Development:
- New waste streams;
- Licensing and permits;
- Developing by-products from biogas plant:
- Waste heat and CO2 (from exhaust) for greenhouse farming;
- Commercialising digestate for farming community and possibly mines, and any other downstream off-takers
- Participate in and represent company at various Associations
- Presentations on behalf of company, both Nationally and Internationally.
- Other activities as assigned to you from time to time.

Qualifications- BSc Degree
- Waste Management or Food production experience
