The Tied Agency Distribution department has opportunities for a Sales Support Consultant to join their team (Sanlam Head Office Bellville).

Job Description

The incumbent will play a key role in supporting the Sales Team, Senior Business Development Manager and Operations Manager in the Tied Agency Distribution department in Santam

Principal Accountabilities

The responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Administrative support
  • Effectively solve escalations/complaints and the management of expectations whilst utilising available resources, including referral to other stakeholders/departments
  • Offer administration and business support in facilitating the completion of requests within published service level agreements.
  • Formulate structured reports to Snr BDMs, BDMs and practices
  • Administration support to the BDMs, Senior BDM and Operations Manager
  • Manage the diary of a Senior BDM by scheduling appointments and following up on diary requests to ensure appropriate and constructive allocation of time
  • Timeous and accurate scheduling of meetings ensuring that venues and appropriate facilities have been arranged
  • Drafts minutes of meetings as and when required, including following up on action list
  • Co-ordinate training schedules with the various product providers
  • Co-ordinate and manage logistics of workshops and development days
  • Co-ordinate and facilitate marketing & branding requests from advisers & BDMs
  • Manage volumes of requests received in workflow system, including tasks allocated to other Sales Support team members
Secondary Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To

Offer administrative support to Operations team

Offer support to Operations team with regards to STA commission file processing
  • Travel Co-ordination:
  • Co-ordinate travel arrangements of Senior BDM
  • Ensure adherence to Santam group travel and procurement policies
Qualifications And Experience
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • At least three years experience as an Administrative Assistant in a corporate team and/ or responsible for supporting senior management
  • Experience in engagement with key business and external partners across all levels (including senior levels) on behalf of the line manager / Senior BDM
