Job Description
Develop sound change management strategies that maximize employee adoption, usage and minimize resistance to change to achieve desired business outcomes. Provide proactive advise and support to business on the potential impact on people and / or ways of working, including processes and systems. Ensure that change management practices are in Retail are provided in an efficient and value-adding manner. Accountable for implementation of change management practices in Retail in collaboration with relevant business areas.
Develop & implement change management strategies that maximize employee adoption, usage and minimize resistance to change
- Organise and manage change initiatives across Retail by applying change and project management methodologies to lead change activities that will manage the impact on people and the business.
- Manage large scale business transformation, which may include several interdependent change initiatives.
- Lead the change management component with the project team to establish governance and team structures, develop a sponsorship plan and on-board sponsors, clarify roles for change sponsors and key stakeholders, develop change management strategies and assess readiness for change.
- Outline detailed change management plans and take charge of the implementation of the change plan and manage resistance.
- Build an awareness of and a desire for committing to change across the business.
- Structure benefits plans and ensure ownership and celebrate successes to sustain the change.
- Analyse the change projects performance and make adjustments as needed
- Identify, manage, and mitigate change management risks and issues for the project, as identified, develop corrective action plans and ensure responsible parties implement appropriate corrective measures.
- Work closely with the business, customers, and key stakeholders to design plans to manage resistance to change.
- Ensure monitoring mechanisms are effective and measure the effectiveness of change interventions on a continuous basis and through established change agent networks to take corrective actions.
- Proactively maintain and build relationships with all stakeholders
- Provide both verbal and written communication regarding project status, risks, issues and other project related items.
- Define and measure success measures and monitor progress.
- Assess change impacts and report on viability and feasibility of any projects to the Strategic Project Office.
- Identify key areas where training is required and facilitate the training or arrange for a training intervention in consultation with Human Resources.
- Keep up to date with developments in the financial services industry with regards to change management best practices.
- Bachelors degree.
- A relevant Honours degree would be preferred
- PROSCI certification is essential.
- 6 10 years managing multiple change projects in a matrix organisation.
