Purpose
- Monitoring reports to plan and execute outbound activities
- To perform the administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of materials, products, parts, supplies and equipment
- Run VL10 on a regular basis to plan for deliveries
- Create OBDs and shipments according to GI dates
- Plan deliveries by liaising with transporters
- PGI all shipments dispatched on a daily basis.
- Manage all transport related non conformances
- Maintain shipment costing in the shipments.
- IBD shipment creation
- Share clearing instructions and shipping documents with forwarders/clearing agents
- Laisse with external warehouse regarding expected shipments
- Update customer services and planning on shipment ETAs
- Shipment costing for all inbound shipments
- Checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary
- Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped and creates purchase order
- 3-5 years experience in Shipping or Logistics activities in the Food Industry
- National Diploma/Bachelors degree in Transport/Logistics or equivalent
- Experience in Export shipments (East, West Africa & SADC)
- SAP experience
