About

We are looking for a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA), specializing in Data Security who is passionate about driving our customers security & AI transformation on the Microsoft Platform. This person will be a trusted advisor for customers attempting to secure their entire data estates against internal and external data risk. Microsoft Purviews integrated Data Security services support customers holistically securing data by:
  • Protecting Sensitive Data using data classification, sensitivity labelling and encryption policies.
  • Managing Insider Risks using machine learning detection controls and indicators, adaptive protection to dynamically enforce controls and advanced privacy controls
  • Preventing Data Loss using built in exfiltration policies for Microsoft 365 apps, services and endpoints.
This is a customer-facing role, owning the technical relationship between the customer and Microsoft, helping customers to leverage their Microsoft investments through architecture, implementation, and operational health engagements. This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50%.

  • Be the Voice of Customer to share insights and best practices, connect with Global Security teams at Microsoft, Engineering and Product teams to remove blockers and influence the solution roadmap.
  • Land an end-to-end value prop for Security (i.e., Zero Trust) which spans the breadth of Microsoft Security offerings, and with focus on Threat Protection, ID + Access Management and Cloud Security.
  • Business Impact
  • Support customers through the adoption lifecycle, through planning, adoption, deployment, and optimization.
  • Support increasing drive of Microsoft security products utilization.
  • Lead technical solutioning and nurturing across the customer journey.
  • Deliver technical presentations & demos and propose high-level solutions.
  • Work with key Microsoft and Partner resources to drive deployment & customer adoption Identify cross sell/upsell/Unified opportunities through customer engagement.
  • Technical Leadership
  • Learn It All Align individual skilling to team/area demands & Customer Success goals .
  • Accelerate customer outcomes -Share expertise, contribute to IP creation & re-use toaccelerate customer outcomes.
  • Run Architectural Design Session to build a plan for implementing the solution governing design in line with customer business goals and their technical environment. Outcome is consensus on solution design and next steps toward production.
  • Collaborate and orchestrate with other Cloud Solution Architects and MS stakeholders including FastTrack, partner, and Microsoft Consulting in developing complex end-to-end Enterprise solutions with the Microsoft Security platform.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in Data Security / Information Security Management, or related field AND 3+ years of working in cloud infrastructure, IT consulting/support, systems administration, architecture and/or software development.
  • Good understanding of the principles of Data Security, such as data classification, encryption, sensitivity labelling, information protection policies and exfiltration controls
  • Experience in the implementation (end to end) of Data Security projects with Data Security Platforms, preferably experience with Microsoft Purview (Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention, Information Risk Management)
  • Experience working with Microsoft 365 services and/or Azure data services such as SharePoint, Teams, Office 365, SQL, Azure Data Lake Services.
    • OR equivalent experience.
Additional Or Preferred Qualifications (PQs)
  • Bachelors Degree in Information Management, or related field and 5+ years experience in Data / Information Management.
  • Ability to lead strategic customer conversations to educate and guide development of Data Security requirements.
  • Ability to lead strategic customer conversations to develop Data Security Frameworks and solution architecture design.
  • Experience in Content Services
  • Recognised Data Security certification
  • Microsoft certification in one of more of the following:
  • SC-400
  • Programming experiences, using Microsoft Information Protection SDK (e.g. C#, Python)
  • Technical Certification in Microsoft 365 and other Cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications).
  • Experience with Public Key Infrastructure in terms of key management and hierarchy.
  • Business Value: The ability to convey the business need and value of proposed solutions, plans, and risks to stakeholders and decision makers. This includes the ability to persuade and inform based on facts and alignment with goals and strategy.
  • Trusted Advisership: The ability to build trusted advisor status and deep relationships across stakeholders (e.g., technical decision makers, business decision makers) through an understanding of customer needs and technologies.
  • Understanding of partner ecosystems and the ability to leverage partner solutions to solve customer needs.
  • Situational fluency: Using self-awareness as a mechanism to interpret verbal and non-verbal cues to increase your ability to "read the room."
  • Insightful listening: asking insightful questions to understand the customer needs, issues, business environment and drivers, and going beyond what is said
